Sponsoring a housemaid with help from an agency usually makes the overall process quick and easy. The convenience this brings, does not exempt you from visiting the immigration, though. You initially need to process Entry Permit for the housemaid and Residence Visa in the latter part.
An Expat can sponsor 1 housemaid. Locals can do 2 housemaids and in cases where 3 is needed, further approval from immigration is necessary.

Always note that this is necessary upon housemaid arrival to assure there is no future health problems that may affect the housemaid’s work.

D. Insurance
It is advisable to have this completed within 13 days after housemaid’s arrival to avoid a charge of 300 AED.
NOTE: This is renewable depending on the terms of the Insurance Company. Some are for 1 year and others are for 2 years.

E. Residence Visa
After completing the Medical, Emirates ID and Insurance, you are now to process your housemaid’s Residence Visa. Agencies normally provide guarantee to all sponsors to ensure satisfaction of work is attained after seeing how the housemaid does her job. This guarantee is also helpful in deciding when to make the Residence Visa. Just keep in mind to have all these procedures done within 59 days after she arrived.
I suggest that you may want to do this last part after a month or two so as to be sure that the housemaid is working well and that there will be no reason for cancellation, in short; no regrets. Remember: once you process cancellation and try to bring a new one, you will start all over again from step 1.
Lastly, Residence Visa will be received after 15 days via Empost.
